The Space

The 200 year old barn has been lovingly converted. Still maintaining some of the original features. There is an exposed glass covered underlit floor exposing the cobbles of yesteryear and the quirky storage cupboards in the kitchen used to be stone feeding troughs!
The solid oak stairs wind round up to a mezzanine glass fronted bed room with a modern clean shower room ensuite.there is a double bed, and an option of 2 singles or another double futon from the futon company.
There is a wonderful view from the bedroom out over the rural landscape.
The kitchen is fully functional and has all you need to self cater. Basics will be in the fridge ,milk ,juice,tea, coffee. Full breakfast is available on request at an extra cost, as is an evening meal.
The lounge is a cozy corner with comfortable sofa to sit and reflect your busy welsh adventure or simply to chill read a book or just watch the morning unfold through the huge picture window,which looks out onto a water feature and private decking area and courtyard.
There is also a 3 seater futon that converts into a double bed downstairs.The whole area is made secluded by a bespoke blackout blind over the window.

Guest Access

Here in the vale of Glamorgan, we have the best of all worlds. We are a few minutes drive from the stunning Jurassic coast line of Southern Down or Ogmore.Where rugged Castles cling to cliff tops and woodland walks open onto stretches of sandy beaches.

The Welsh coastal walk passes thru here. over sand dunes and rolling welsh pasture, dotted with cozy country pubs. Serving excellent Food beside cracking open fires,to warm the hearts of walkers, riders,and families. St Fagans is well worth a visit,a welsh folk museum which is actually a step back in time to a working welsh village. Black smiths working mill and several houses you can walk round to get a taste of our past. And pick up some warm Welsh cakes! Oh and it's FREE!

We have excellent access to further adventures ,to The Brecon Beacons or to the Gower peninsular ,Dylan Thomas boat house , Oakwood theme park and Tenby historical fishing town. 
We are a stones throw away from Cowbridge where the discerning shopper with be indulged.
Whether it be fashion or food Cowbridge is like a slice of Knightsbridge landed in rural wales,without the crowds or the attitude, with a warm Welsh welcome.
Day spas and cafes offer relaxation in this popular little town ,with fantastic charity shops to browse and many interior design shops full of knick knacks. The farmers market is a regular fixture on a Saturday morning ,giving you the chance to meet and talk with some of our local producers and artisan bakers,craftsmen and women, and to sample some of their wears.

A few miles up the road is the Pines Outlet (website hidden) you can buy designer items from the likes of Calvin Klein, Ted Baker, Karen Millen and Ralph Lauren At massive discounts.
There really isn't any need to go to Cardiff, but if the Capitol is your destination then we are 15 miles up the A48 or 24 miles up the M4. I can make it to the Center in 25 minutes but the train is quicker and easier.

Bridgend is one stop on the fast train from Cardiff. Takes 25 minutes and delivers you in to the heart of the city.

Mike and I are often around to give you a lift to the station. Mike and I are foodies! In the 6 years we have lived here we have rooted out the finest pubs restaurants and eateries. From a Sunday Roast to tea and toast, from wonderful Thai to the finest Pie.There is even a fab little pub in the village 5 minutes stroll down the lane,where good food and great ales are on offer.We are more than happy to share our discoveries with you ,often tucked away and off the beaten track. Just let us know what you are after and we will do our best to steer you in the right direction.

As little or as much as is required. You will have a key to the annex and then it is up to you to let us know if there is anything more we can do toy help.

Getting Around

We are a short walk from the main bus route in and out of Cardiff and Bridgend 
Trains are quick and easy from Bridgend to Swansea,or back to Cardiff and straight thru to London Panddington

We love where we live and although our house is not a show home it is our Home and we keep it beautiful warm clean and comfortable . All we ask is that our guests do the same.
